I’m Flo. I am a traditional craftswoman and woodworker currently based in Bristol.
I work full time as a craftsperson; making, selling and teaching endangered crafts. Specialising in green woodworking and basketry.
In 2023 I was awarded 1st place in the contemporary category of the ‘Basketry of the Year’ competition held by the Basketmakers Association.
I also had a basket selected for the shortlist of the ‘Bespoke Product Design’ category in the 2023 ‘Wood Awards’.
I am hugely passionate about endangered and traditional crafts; how they relate to our built environment and the guardianship of these skills.
I have a degree in Renewable Energy engineering from the University of Exeter as well as a NVQ level 3 in Heritage Woodland Occupation. In 2020, I completed the ‘Building Arts Programme’ with the Princes Foundation and QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust)..
